How I started making handmade soap (why it matters)

Hi, I’m Angelica — the creator of Natural Beauty by Angelica — and I want to share the story of how I started making handmade soap, and why it matters to me… and maybe to you, too.

🧼It All Started with One Question 🧼

A few years ago, I found myself reading the labels on my store bought soap and i couldn't recognize most the ingredients. Harsh chemical. Artificial fragrances. Preservatives I couldn't pronounce. That's when I asked myself:

"Why am I putting this on my skin every day?"

As someone who values wellness and natural living, I knew there had to be a better way- and that's where my soap journey began.

🌱From Kitchen Experiments to Clean Skincare🌱

I started experimenting at home with natural ingredients — things like:

  • Shea butter for moisture
  • Olive oil for nourishment
  • Coconut oil for gentle cleansing
  • Lavender and tea tree essential oils for scent and skin-soothing benefits

That first batch of soap made in my kitchen changed everything. It wasn’t perfect, but it was real, and I could feel the difference on my skin right away.

💚 Why Handmade Soap Matters💚

Handmade soap isn’t just about looking cute or smelling nice. It’s about:

  • Avoiding toxic chemicals
  • Nourishing your skin with real, whole ingredients
  • Supporting small, intentional businesses

I create each bar of soap with intention — for people who want skincare that’s safe, simple, and aligned with nature.
👩👧👦 Made for Families Like Mine

As a mom, I care deeply about what goes on my kids’ skin. Every bar I make is something I trust for them — and for you. Whether you’re dealing with dry skin, sensitivity, or just want to switch to a more natural lifestyle, my soaps are made with love and care.

✨ Welcome to the Natural Beauty Journey✨

This isn’t just about soap. It’s about self-care, slowing down, and reconnecting with what’s real.

Thanks for being part of this journey. 💛
